The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Statistiche:
Picky Mage modding
So after all the platthroughs I've done I decided to start a mage character. As always i look for the best mods for a class before I start my playthrough, except after installing mathias magic and others of the sort (which are in every top 10 mage list) I just felt like it was too much. There where like 230 spells in my menu which I feel is overwhelming. What im asking is for sugestions on mods that don't add new spells (maybe a few) but rather perfect the maging system thats already there. I feel that as I level up my frostbite and fire spells don't do enough damage and dual casting spells do LESS damage that actually using the same spell in both hands not triggering the dual cast.

What is your question?
I want a recomendation of mage mods, such as mage specific quest, or mods like "better magic" on the nexus and like "better college of winterhold"
You could look for mods that address the perk system for mages spells.
SkyRe's mage perk overhaul is a huge improvement over vanilla.

Also, are you interested in necromancy?
necromancy sounds fun and im up for suggestions, but i'll porbably have to start a new character as im an immersion nerd.
Better Magic
Battlemage Tactical Spellcasting
Forgotten Magic Redone
ACE Magic

Well SkyRe includes some interesting perks for necromancy, but if you want true necromancy, then I recommend this mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/35378/?

I don't get the point of getting that mod over mods like apocalypse that add some of the same things please prove me wrong

Apocalypse includes none of the same things.

You can have both too, you don't have to pick one or the other.

You're welcome. Just a few mild game changing mods I like to use. Both Battlemage and Forgotten Magic focus on a small group of good spells that you can use for most portions of the game.
Suggestion: Play a vanilla mage. No mods to give you more spells, no mods to overpower magic, just play the game as it was meant to be played.

Seriously.

Magic is not underpowered, you're just trying to use it as a weapon when it's not a weapon.

Magic IS underpowered. When it takes 300+ spell casts to kill a Draugr at level 40 with max destruction, but only a SINGLE, NON-POWER ATTACK SWIPE WITH A ONE-HANDED WEAPON, there is a problem with balance. This is a problem on EVERY difficulty.

This ^

I have played all character classes legit and out of all of them Mage is the hardest and severly underpowered. If there was some kind of enchantment that made magic more powerful I could see it balancing out but sadly you have to rely on making Destro potions to boost your power output and even then it just doesn't cut it like how melee does.

Yea im sorry but it seems that developers felt that magic was just going to be used for lower levels as even the "mage" quests are easy with them only having a few skeletons and draugr per fight compared to the companions quest where you kill giants and 10 bandits at a time.
