AFTER ALDUIN'S DEATH HE JUST SITS THERE

ive had to re-load at least 20 times, after i defeat alduine he doesnt freeze, but he doesnt go away, he just sits there, he no longer has a health bar and is idle and it will not allow me to move on, are there any mode that create this problem? how do i fix this

which fight are you talking about, you must fight Alduin 2 times

@trigger it's right after you learn dragonrend, after i "kill" Alduin he just sits there and talks, he still has an objective marker over his head, but he has no health bar, thus (disabling me from destroying him) like the mission says

Do you have a save close to that you can reload to?

@lciclesx yes i do, the problem isnt that i have to do a lot to get to that mission, it's that i can never complete that mission

go to the console (~) click Alduin and type kill see if that finishes him off.

Otherwise, make a new save, go to the console and try to type setstage MQ206 220, that should advance the quest.

You don't kill you defeat him, he talks and flies off, second time round you defeat him and he disappears in a poof of black mist but you do not get his soul. Meaning Alduin cannot die just goes to a different plane in time.
