Quest Glitch

I've recently completed a quest for the Companions that had me go to a house and kill a bear. Once I went back to redeem the quest with Aeola, or whatever her name is, the game acknowledged the fact that I completed it. However, she didn't give me any gold, I had to TAB out of the conversation, no other members would give me work because they said "I was doing something for [the quest giver]", and she did not have an option to repeat the chat talking about how I beat the quest and wouldn't give me any more work. I believe I've somehow glitched the game. I reverted back to a save before I redeemed the quest, same thing. I did it again with a save before I killed the bear, same thing. What do I do?
