Can't connect with friend

We've been trying now for a while, but everytime my friend tries to connect to my online session or vice versa there's a error prompt that the session is no longer available. Anyone else having this problem? Anyone knows of any solutions? We haven't managed to get it to work a single time (single player works just fine).
