How to respawn in White World?

Yes, that's a serious question.
I played with the Planet Wisp pack thing, but I made sure it wouldn't use a different save file than the default game.
However, when I remove the mod, I spawn below or beside the White World, and the default White World has no bottomless "pits", so I can basically keep falling forever as Classic Sonic, unable to do anything.
Is there some way I can respawn, or in some other way get onto the White World, other than choosing New Game?

You just have to fall far enough for the death collision to kick in... which is a roughly 30 second drop with Modern stomping/falling at maximum speed, so without stomping/with Classic is at least a 40 second drop.
