Insanely bad performance issues

Both FMVs and gameplay lag, FMVs video freezes for ~3 seconds and then zooms through what it missed to catch up, game doesn't receive input at the right time, music isn't synced up with the characters at all, and will stop at random, all voices are in Japanese, despite the game being set to English. And I thought NiGHTS into Dreams' port was bad...
