[SOLVED] Screen flashes black constantly

Windows 7x64, always lateset nVidia drivers. This game flashes to a black screen, almost faster than can be seen but visible enough to be annoying, every few seconds while playing. It pretty much ruins the game it's so irritating. Since the game creates a temporary file to launch as an application every time you launch it there is no way I can figure to try something like compatibility modes. It's a great looking game, just like the old Pro-Pinball series but it's so far been a waste of money for me because of this issue.

Also have that problem. I just keep pressing pause or esc. This fixes the problem for some time. Maybe anyone else knows a solution?

i had this too, reason was my opened media player. Try closing any media-related apps;)

This happens to me as well. The screen doesn't seem to flash completely black, but dims repeatedly, like there was a faulty light in the room the machine was in. Hitting pause fixes it temporarily for me, but I haven't found a solution yet...

Hmm.. I'll try the pausing technique. At least we know it's the software and not our hardware.

It flashes black for me too, but not as constantly. So far, I like this game.

I have this exact same issue. Also using nvidia.

yes the game is old thats why so u can try to config ure ati or nvdia card in the config panel (disabled all and test)

Mine flashes like a strobe light. Impossible to play. All drivers are up-to-date, tried the pausing tip and configuring through Nvidia control panel to force everything off or use the integrated graphics. Nothing made a difference. I just can't play. Anybody else has the same issue?

I have the same issue which is why I started this thread. I have yet to find a solution. It's a real bummer because it seems like a fun table very much like the Pro Pinball series (Big Race USA, The Web, etc)

Ok, now I actually managed to get the same issue as you. My issue was different: the screen was flickering like a strobe light. Literally. Everything flashing every spit second.
I actually changed the compatibility mode of the program to Windows XP Service Pack 3 and now, I "only" have the same issue as you: sometimes screen flashes black here and there, like if you were blinking your eyes once in a while.
Tried many options in the compatibility menu but didn't find a combination that would get rid of the problem.
Well, at least I can play now, trying to not mind the black flashes here and there.

Oh! I didn't realize when you said strobing that it was so much more severe. I'm glad you are able to tolerate the milder flashing and get some enjoyment out of it. Still I hope someday a real fix comes along.

Same problem, flashing black fairly often, had to alt f4 the game.
That & screen res options are very minimal :(

I tried different compatibility settings etc.
