How to beat the elf girl with Louie?
Having a hard time beating the longbow user elf boss with Louie. Any tips? I cant see a way to get close to her without being hit with triple arrows.

On my last week, barely paid the 200k debt. Now going for 500k in the first run!

just gotta keep moving, move to the back wait til you hear the arrows fly, then rush to the boxes and pick away at it slowly. The arrows descend on the location where you were last when she lets go of them.

I almost never use Louie (he's like level 14 for me while everyone else is maxed out at 99) so I'm not an expert, but what I can say is that using special skills usually gives you a moment of invincibility, which you can use to "dodge" attacks. With good timing you could simply use his vacuum blade skill right before she turns you into a pin cushion and you'll get in a hit on her, avoid the attack, and be able to close in and go on the offensive. You can also use his spin slash for this, but vacuum blade will give you the chance to hit her too, so it probably is a better choice.

Or just ditch Louie and go for Charme or Nagi =P. Both of them have charge attacks which let you very easily go through an enemy's attack and get up close so you can smack em around.

But anyways, good luck on beating Tielle and getting that debt paid!

Louie tends to have a really rough time with most boss fights -- most of them are about clean hit-and-run and evasion, and he just doesn't have the move speed or skill set to do that cleanly. Tielle is an even worse fight for him because the crates don't actually have HP; they take two hits no matter what, and Louie can't swing fast or hit more than one at a time. There's not really any clean way to do it, especially once you hit the third set of crates and she uses Starshot (the laser attack). Louie is physically incapable of moving fast enough to dodge that sometimes. He's probably the second-worst character for this fight, right behind Elan who's generally just bad at everything.

Louie should be able to brute force pretty much everything up through Obsidian Tower by giving him really good armor though. I remember when I did this fight in the main story, he was taking hits constantly while breaking crates, but only took like 2-5 damage at a time.

Once you get Tielle out in the open, the fight is at least formulaic, if difficult to get used to. Her attack pattern makes a whole lot more sense once you unlock her and see for yourself how her main shot works -- she actually has to charge volleys of arrows, and that means you get a window of a few seconds after each shot. She'll fire a three-shot of arrows the moment you cross her sight line at mid range or closer, then be unable to move or attack for a good few seconds.

So approach from a diagonal, swerve directly in front of her at point-blank range to bait her attack, then use your spin attack -- it makes you momentarily invincible during the animation and the arrows pass right through. You'll probably be able to squeeze off another swing or two before she reloads and you have to retreat to a diagonal again and be ready to repeat.

But for this fight, your easiest bet is probably Caillou. The hairiest part of the fight is the crates, and Sparkburst tears up the entire screen's worth of crates in seconds. Once you have her out in the open, make the same approach as with Louie, then Sparkburst directly in her face. Sparkburst gives you the same invincibility window, and Tielle doesn't get knocked down after two consecutive hits like every other character boss -- so she takes the whole spell right in the jaw and usually dies before she can move again.

I was just able to brute force the whole thing, but only because I only used Louie for the whole game so a few special attacks is all it takes to take out most bosses. Was roughly 35 when I beat her.

Just fake out the arrow's on the first 2 stages. She can be found on the left, then spam your special attack over and over until she is defeated. That's what I did, and I succeeded on my first try. Might actually consider playing her instead of Louie.

If you see 3 of these, it was lag...
