Where are you trying to save? (Provide spoiler tags if needed) Were any files edited?
It's acting like the save folder doesn't exist, which...shouldn't be the case.
And no I didn't edit files! I just straight up downloaded the game and started to play
Try reinstalling real quick. Maybe something went wrong.
I reinstalled the game and no change. I even restarted my computer after this and ran CCleaner.
I got to an ending without saving and it got a bit more glitchy like showing random characters in the main menu and in dialogues.
So I really don't know :') Guess I'll just never save
I'm trying to think. Do you have an antivirus running at the same time?
I never ran into this issue, that's why I'm so confused.
Try running the game with argument:
--savedir "path-where-to-save-to"
You do this by
1) Go to library
2) Right-click Doki doki
3) Properties
4) Set launch options
I tried the argument and it works!! I can save now! Amazing
Thank you all!
enjoy happy times in the literature club!
It worked !
I have the same problem, please can you tell me what you writted on Set launch options Please

Here is an image showing where to find, inside you write the location of a folder you want the saves to go, for example
--savedir "C:\DDLCSaves\"
