Try running the game with argument:
--savedir "path-where-to-save-to"

You do this by
1) Go to library
2) Right-click Doki doki
3) Properties
4) Set launch options

Can you provide more information?

Where are you trying to save? (Provide spoiler tags if needed) Were any files edited?

It's acting like the save folder doesn't exist, which...shouldn't be the case.
Momo Oct 20, 2017 @ 5:03pm
Well, I'm at the beginning of the game and I want to save in one of the empty slot.

And no I didn't edit files! I just straight up downloaded the game and started to play
HypetheKomodo Oct 20, 2017 @ 5:09pm
Huh. that's...awkward.

Try reinstalling real quick. Maybe something went wrong.

Have you tried running the game as Administrator? Do you have any non-latin characters in your Widnows user account name, like Russian or Chinese or whatever?
Momo Oct 20, 2017 @ 7:17pm
My account is as administrator and even selecting the option "run as admin" doesn't work. I did have a non-latin character in my account name and I removed it and it still didn't solve the problem.

I reinstalled the game and no change. I even restarted my computer after this and ran CCleaner.

I got to an ending without saving and it got a bit more glitchy like showing random characters in the main menu and in dialogues.

So I really don't know :') Guess I'll just never save

Huh.

I'm trying to think. Do you have an antivirus running at the same time?

I never ran into this issue, that's why I'm so confused.

Use the line above starting with -- and replace the part inside "" with a path to the saves location, that is - try finding your game installation path, you can click on it in steam and click Browse local files, there should be saves folder I guess?

Here is an image showing where to find, inside you write the location of a folder you want the saves to go, for example
--savedir "C:\DDLCSaves\"
