SpellForce 2 - Faith in Destiny

Secret diary: Packhorse wont move
On the 'Stealing The Ledger' quest, you have to defend a Packhorse til it gets to the Orc camp, but it stops moving at the first lot of enemies, and wont continue moving after that.

Please help!

Unfortunately he is very serious, I have the exact same problem.
Yeah Same ting heres
Afraid i gave up with this, and uninstalled. Was disappointing from a SpellForce game
There seems to be no direct solution for this problem, since this bug appears to be rather uncommon. The offered solution in the official Spellforce forums is to take a savegame, where this bug didn't appear. Such a Savegame is provided in the Spellforce forums.
Has anyone had any success with using the mouse outside of the apparent required 96dpi setting?
I realize this is an old thread but the packhorse/booze quest is not bugged, this and the accompanying Orc shaman quest are escort missions and they need to be done a certain way -- the solution is just to never allow the pack horse to be stalled or threatened until it arrives in the Orc camp. At this stage in the scenario you should have a full army of 70, and you've likely got it divided into several units of twenty or so (very early in the game you're asked to defend the camp from attacks in three directions, so dividing your army in three is the most logical solution). At any rate bring your army -- divided or not -- up near the supplier, and when Flink's conversation with the supplier triggers the packhorse immediately send the army down to clear the path ahead on both sides. If the packhorse is untouched it will go to the Orc camp without stopping. If you have the old Orc shaman waiting at the gate from the accompanying quest, an enemy Orc will come out the gate and initiate a dialogue (he'll have a question mark over his head). Just keep your army well ahead of the horse as you needed to do when you escorted the old shaman Orc to the camp.

Okay, I have done this and that for 4 hours. The horse stops in the moment, when my army attacks the beserks. It is definetly a bug. No way the complete this mission. I don't like to play around obvious bug - wether in the programm itself or in in the scripted missions. THIS IS AN UNFIXED BUG!!!
Since the savegame in the german forum is not available anymore, there is no way to get out of this, if the game is in this state you are lost, similar to the camera bug...

Can't understand why NORDIC doesn't fixes this. Can't wait to not buy Spellforce III...
Diggin out an old topic but if it's still not patched...
So today i had the same issue, ofc when i tried to load autosave there was a camera bug. This is such a crap.
You know what i did? Switched to third person view and walked into that stupid horse. And it started to move. I have no words for this. Spellforce 2 and all of the DLCs are trash, gonna finish it ASAP and go back to 1st game
Necroing, but I know how it can be sometimes when you are searching for a solution. It can be done if encountered this bug. It happens if you loose 1st caravan and escorting a second one.

Switch to the 3d person view and approach a hourse from the direction you want it to move. Just step "inside" the horse but not too deep. When it starts moving quickly fall back. Horse will make 1-2 spets and hang again. Repeat until you reach the bridge. After the bridge it will go on as normal and you can complete the mission.

This is a bit masohistic but it can help those who just want to finish this. Sadly this SF2:FiD just doesnt deserve it/
