Strange Condition
My fighter character has a condition. The icon resembles a little grey weight with a "9" on it. It seems to come and go randomly ever since I fought some tomb guardians in the pits of skulheim. No idea what it is.

While we are on the subject of grues, I've also noticed them cast dispel at me while I have no magical buffs on my party, basically wasting one of their own turns.

I just changed that spell so when a Grue grabs you, it immediately reduces your strength by 50% for at least 10 rounds. This spell is an attribute modifier, not a change to the actual attribute as it is doing now. That might be too drastic, especially cumulative grabs.

Further grabs by Grues will never reduce your strength by more than 50% during the combat.

This can take a while to wear off but it is temporary.

Going to test this and include it in the next patch.

This sounds like an interesting change. It will be fun to poke around it once it is released. Thanks for sharing the information!

Think I should make a new party before this patch comes out?

Fixing the bug with some spellcasters set to level 2 to receive their spell skill. This next patch will be out in 24 hours.

So, there is no way to restore strenght after this drain in current patch? My 4 frontliners has 1lbs limit maximum.

I have not found any way to do it personally, though I was contacted by someone who claimed to have an answer. I have not seen any hint in the game about this (the person claimed hints did not exist in the game), nor have I even been in the area you get it yet, so I cannot vouch for it. Still, it does not hurt to save and give it a go. If it works, credit supposedly goes to someone on the RPGCodex forums who apparently looked at the code (I was not told their name, sorry.):

There is a lamp with a Djinn in it that is found on a ship somewhere (guessing somewhere near City of Waterport, but I could be wrong). He asks for his name. Type AGDULHANISH. At this point it will ask what you wish for, of which there are seven passwords. Type ANASHSANSAR to restore strength.

If that does not work, the other option is to replace your afflicted characters with NPC recruits. There are many strong physical fighters to choose from, so even if their level does not match yours they will still hold their own.

The Djinn lamp will restore strength if you have the correct passwords.

It's good to know that it actually works. Thank you for confirming! Now to keep poking around and seeing if an in game hint can actually be found. Hoping that the folks saying that they don't exist just missed something somewhere.

Comon now, you know better than that! Cleve hours are not like normal human hours which are fast and fleeting.

Still checking on it, trying to make sure this doesn't happen again.
