Is the encounter chance way up?

I feel like i can't move 2 steps without a fight or rest for more then a second. Did something change just feels like it went way up since playing last night.

I have felt the same, cant sleep more than 2-3 seconds. I've heard that random encounter are not like intended right now, and that cleve said he was gonna patch it, but it have been this way since 3-4 day i think.

Encounter rate does seem really high, I hope its not intended as there seems no difference between rare and onslaught at the moment. It would be nice if rare was actually much reduced encounters as I refuse to use the none setting which feels like "cheat mode", but I like to be able to wander around with fighting constantly.

thanks was glad it wsn't just me. I was having issues as i had someone who got drained to like -200 vitality and was trying to get them rested up. Problem was if i rested or moved i kept having to fight disease biting monsters so they would chomp the crap out of his sleeping ass.
