Could you give some more information on how and where this happens? Any conditions on your PCs?
Despite issues this game is great and I am really enjoying it. I am not sure about 600 hours but looking at the world map I am not quite half way through and just over 100 hours. The longest old school RPG I have played prior to Grimoire is Crusaders of the dark savant (my favourite game along with MM3) which took me 70 hours and cost me £40.00 in 1992 so your game is very good value for money and definitely on a par. I don't know whether you are planning a sequel but if so please don't take 20 years.
Strangest bug I have ever read on this forum. Only the NPCs? I don't even know how that is possible without some condition on them. Is there any warning before they die? Any messages, anything?
When did they "die?" When you rest after exiting this region?
When did these characters die and how?
They die because they are to old. There is a Deathdate in any NPC and they all die the same Time at a Rest and they can never ever raise from Dead again. please look at the NPC code end eliminate the Deathdate.
Never heard of this and seriously, I don't remember programming a deathdate into NPCs. This is really bizarre, I've never heard of such a thing. Where did you see this "death date?"
I did some experiments. With enough resting it is possible for your NPCs to die of old age. Sorry, spent two hours fixing it all up and implementing race-based aging effects. Next version of the game, your characters are immortal but do suffer aging effects once a year until you can find restore youth potions or fountain.
Thanks for finding this, I was able to get it adjusted correctly and eliminate death from old age.
Will look at this again but I am pretty sure it is 110% fixed in next update.
