Even after years, 20+ turns in I keep seeing horrendous levels of ghost projectiles- almost like Coilcannon and/or MIRV shots that missed are being randomly distributed to all planets many turns later. I did catch sight of a MIRV trail that TELEPORTED across the solar system, so there's that too. Secondarily, I have clearly connected and powered Ion Defences that the game INSISTS are disconnected. No matter how many times you disconnect, reconnect, DESTROY AND REBUILD them, they are FORCIBLY 'not connecte...

This game seems like it is left for dead

So the tech tree is dense and difficult to keep track of. Is there anything that helps project targeting? cause as it is anything beyond firing your rail gun when your target planet is coming into a head on collision seems like a crap shoot. It talks about stealth for cities and mines but you seem lucky to even hit the planet let alone trying to actually hit a building....

Damn if the AI still kicks your ass even on easy. I'm just trying to learn how to play and I'm getting absolutely trashed, even with a guide. They just know how to aim perfectly to take out all your cities, even if you have decent counterintel. Its also really hard to come back if they get a lucky volley. You could be trashing them all game and the moment they get a string of several shots in it overwhelms your defenses and shuts down your shields and then one shots your cities.
