I live in a different timezone (1 day ahead of some western countries)

i would say go with the first one buddy :D

however, i do like how in the 2nd one you get to resupply your units just by going to a truck, instead of going into each soldiers invo to give them ammo.

and 1 has better mods out at the moment.

Go for assault squad 2, since it is slightly upgraded and with working multiplayer. Also has vanilla skirmish maps.
