Mouse can't grab Trapeeze inside cage on Jungle Island in Riven.

Hi All,
How do you grab the trapeeze, once you pull the chain to make the trapeeze descend?
I am running Win7x64, and my mouse won't reappear in time to grab it, before it starts ascending again?
My mouse vanishes when running the animation.
Maybe I am doing something wrong?
I've tried all transitions, and resolution settings.
Can't make it work......

p.s It's where you exit from the submarine and climb to the open cage, where you need to call down the trapeeze to ascend. I's attach a photo if I knew how.

It didn't work because I first failed to raise the floor of the trapeze floor.
All good.

How do you get back down? I'm trying to re-enter that underwater railcar thingy and so far can't seem to access it the way I came up on the trapeze. Can't seem to summon the railcar from other locations either. Help!

It's the closest word I could think of. It's not really substantial enough to be called an 'elevator'.

gallows is a better word as its used to kill pepole

I have that problem, too. I hit the levers so the two walkways that were retracted would become climbable. Then I got back in the sub and went to the cage. But there's another stop you can go to that is accessable once the walkways are pulled out, and now I can't reach that place because my sub is stuck under the cage. Is there anything I need in this other location / is it possible to get my sub back?

Wish I could help, but I just don't know Riven enough to be able to picture your predicament. When I got stuck I had to restart my entire game, which wasn't so bad as I had all my notes on stuff I'd found/solved. You could check out guides to see if there are any fixes for that problem, otherwise I'd suggest a full restart.

i think you just need to map it out at no point does the sub get blocked from anywhere as long as the dock things are out

dont forget the other controlls in the sub

Alaric is right: once you have ascended to the second level, you can't get back to the bottom of the gallows to retrieve the sub. So you sort of have to deal with all the other locations in the lagoon before you ascend... specifically the church, where you learn the numbering system...

nope you can go back down at any point.

I've never figured out how to go back down the gallows... I know you can go down the ladder, but that puts you on the shore path, that doesn't connect with the base of the gallows where the sub is.

if you leave the area and then come back as in go to any other island or eather of the two other ages the sub is back at the start alowing you to go anywhere again.
the idea is that the pepole put the sub back.

had same problem...make sure sub is pointing right way i e large wheels nearerto you----after lever room solved not on trapeze part yet....hopeit works for you
