RealMyst doesn't even start

Hi folks,
i really followed many hints from the internet to get it startet:
- tried with and without T&L at div. resolutions
- nGlide at div configurations
- put textures to low, AA off
- admin rights
- compatibility modes Win2000, XP SP2 & 3
and some things more i just don't know.
My system:
Intel core 2 quad
win 7 pro 32bit with all updates (SP1 etc.)
4GB Ram (i know they are not completely used because of the 32bit)
AMD/Ati Radeon HD 6870 1GB

And i do not know what to do now. The only thing i get is a process in the task manager that i can kill. And the same behaviour i have when i want to start Riven :-(

Help would be really welcome.

I am also having a similar problem, except my game does start but when it does, I can't look in ANY direction without the game lagging and freezing (i.e. not responding). Windows 7 64-bit, AMD E-350, 3GB of RAM, & AMD Radeon HD 6310 graphics card. I see there are other discussions on Steam about problems with realMyst upon startup, I will post this in those posts as well.

What's more important with compatibility Mode for this game is to disable the scaling for widescreen resolutions, especially if the native desktop resolution is large and widescreen.
