What do you like more L4D or AS?

What do you like more Left 4 Dead or Alien Swarm? And why? How much time did you spent playing these games?

Left for dead is good, but the regualar zombies seemed to sensitve. I mean you could literally just bump one of the unclassed ones and it exploded. Ive spent around 24 hours playing it, tops.

Alien Swarm reminds me more of Smash TV than L4D, and I like Smash TV better

L4D is better, no question, the most satisfying feeling when mowing down 100 or so normal infected with a machine gun is enough to make one jizz in their pants. But alien swarm is pretty damn good

Alien Swarm...hands down...played Left 4 Dead for like a half hour...was just meh in my opinion. Alien Swarm on the other hand...over 130 hours =P

I bet if they actually updated or did something with Alien Swarm it could surpass L4D. Alien Swarm is a great break from the HUNDREDS of FPSs on Steam (and just about any gaming platform currently in exsistance) and even has a nice assortment of unique weapons and mechanics to boot. Although L4D is probably the soul reason Alien Swarm doesn't get any love. Why keep Alien Swarm going when they already have a zombie-type survival game that is even ANOTHER FPS, garunteed to be successful.

Seeing as how I've been waiting forever for AS to come to the Mac, and I don't own L4D yet, thanks! I may go out and buy L4D on the next Steam sale. I played AS when it very first came out and loved it! Unfortunately, that was the time I also switched to the Mac. I"ve been waiting for AS, but have resigned to know it'll never happen. It's like waiting for an update to DoD. I never considered that L4D would be a similar format. Maybe I'll give that a go.

I think playing with friends would be much more fun for these two games. Since Alien Swarm is free, more of my friends play it, so it's always easier for me to fine a squad to begin the vanture of killing swarms.

ASW have more tatctical opportunities the both L4D and Payday taken one with another. Payday is more like a survival shooter "go there hold for 3 minutes, go here hold for 5 minutes". But yeah, it's fun game.
