Dunce cap question.... How do you aim/move the turret??? I can only fire straight up!?!?

i got this game last month and have had a blast playing it. but about last week whenever i go to play the map freezes at the start. the turret can only remain up and the graphrics are glitching badly. you can only drive around the part of the map that is visible since it does not move with the tank as you drive...
