Sound, but no music

I played this on PS2 a few times. I distinctly remember it having mid-battle orders and conversation in the campaign and music at all times in the actual battles, yet this version doesn't seem to have either.

My sound is working fine, to my knowledge, and I hear all of the sound effects, just no music. Is it supposed to be like this, or is something messed up somewhere?

You have confirmed that the music volume setting in options is set above 0, or not all the way left on the slider in other words?

Pretty sure it's all the way to the right, full blast. I always make sure the music in my games is max volume.

The music doesn't play the entire time for anyone. Does it not play at all, or just not very commonly as you remember?

I get the music on the main menu and that's it. That's how it's supposed to be for this version? Lame.

No. This is a bug you are experiencing and I've never seen it before so therefore I don't know what to suggest. Maybe reinstall?

I have a similar problem. Sometimes the music stops playing for a few seconds, other times it stops completely. I have no idea why that happens, so I usually put the soundtrack on the Steam In-game browser.
