Initial Setup every time I start the game?

The first time I started the game I got the windows popup asking if I want to alow steam to make changes to my PC, I clicked yes and it did it's little initial setup thing like nearly all steam games do. What's anoying me is it's done this every time I've lauched the game since (although much quicker). Everytime I start the game it asks me if I want to let steam make changes, I click yes and the inital set up box comes up for less than a second saying something about direct X and then the game launches. This is getting a bit anoying, is this normal and is there a fix?

Also is this related to the texture bug I'm having?

as for the other things.... did you try restarting steam and your pc?

I know this thread very old but I bring it back, but I bring a fix for the inital setup issue. You need to delete 6060_install.vdf. This can be found at: program files x86> Steam> steamapps> common> Star Wars Battlefront II.
