Unable to load prior characters from my other Lost Heir 1 and 2 tries, what's happpening?

So i played the entire trilogy on android ( had finished 2 way before 3 was released ). I was a paladin with just a few coins , some very important artifacts and all relationships high ( except for Jess which was at like 67 i think ). I got a good ending ( everyone survived , me included ) but humanity was pretty low ( 45 i think ) and had demon eyes , horns and legs. I used to do this easily with the previous 2 chapters, but this one just gives me an error message every time I alter the save file with wordpad no matter how small the change. Is there any other way to do this?

The entire story is a pain in the ass.
