Wargame: European Escalation

Statistiche:
Which is better?
Because both Wargame European Escalation and AirLand Battles are on sale, I am considering buying one. I'd like to hear your opinions on which one is better.

i like this one for its campiagn very hard but rewarding
airland is cool too but hard to noobs go to traing in airland
this one throws you in fast
Well, my personal flavor is definitly this one as it's more the "simulation" one - AirLand Battle has a lot of improvements over EE, but it's a bit more "arcade" like. Both are not that easy to learn, but AirLand Battle has way more units (including planes) - though a proper tutorial to compensate this ...
I want to say that the game is so bad. RUSE is much better. I can't believe that I spend money for this(((
Well, I disagree with you. Sure, it actually has nothing to do with Ruse. Ruse is quite simple and arcade (nevertheless an epic game!) but this one is an in-depth simulationlike game - and it's the best on its area I know.
buy airland battle
I bought this after "AirLand Battle" because "European Escalation" has a linear single player campaign with longer time limits that let a battle develope rather than cut you short after you have gained a positional advantage but not won (gives you bonus command stars if you win under 20 min so there's still a incentive for a quick win). The first campaign has nice cut scenes and tool tips that make a for a better tutorial. You have to play the campaign to unlock the different vechicles you meet with Command Stars you've earned. It doesn't seem to have silly save restrictions. Eugen added free DLC maps, a conquest game mode and a new campaign that can be played *now*.

For "AirLand Battle" all the units are already unlocked ready to build MP decks, etc., The extra units like the aircraft, etc. change the feel of the battle to truely "Combined Arms". The tutorials are worse but game play guides and youtube videos better. I think the GFX, though similar, are more realistic. As it's new, the MP servers have plenty of players.
The SP Campaign has dynamic/strategic elements that should mix up the maps and units on replays but the current 20 min time limit mean you often play the same map more than once. The only save is an auto save at the start or end of a battle. You gain XP playing the campaign, etc. but the vehicles are already unlocked so it isn't an incentive to play, just a by product.

WEE is the more balanced game with good single player and multi-player modes.

WAB has better game play because of the SAM's and Aircraft and more units. It's let down by the weak tutorials and SP campaign time limits. For skirmishes and multi-player it is superior, needing just a few more maps.

Both have similar gameplay and are worth buying. WAB will definately improved over time but for now the best SP expirence is in WEE. Only avoid WEE if you don't like to play SP campaigns.
