Linux Supported ?
It says there is a Linux version on the official site but in an update but it isn't listed as an official OS here or Itch.io. So is there a Linux version ?

Hi @PublicNuisance, we are no longer supporting Linux at this time. Sorry about that!

That's what I figured. I did receive a response from the official site saying that Linux was still supported but I figured I would double check.

What happened ?

Ah, yes I only recently decided to pull support less than two days ago. Anyone who has already purchased the game for Linux can still download it (apparently its working for some), but I have been getting so many bugs from so many different distros I decided to take support off the store page. Linux users account for less than 2% of our customers but over 50% of our bug reports, so I've found myself a bit over my head with Linux. I'm afraid I made a terrible error in judgement when attempting to port for linux, and its my bad. I'm sorry for the confusion!

Not to sure why you pulled Linux as after todays patch the game now has no problems i reported, it all seem's fixed and running great.

Ah that's very good to hear! Yes I rolled the Linux branch back to the version that was working for the largest percentage of users. Unfortunately saving doesn't always work with that version. I wanted to make sure Linux users who already bought the game could at least download a build with a high probability of working for them, however there are still enough problems to where I'm not comfortable listing Linux compatibility. I'm really glad to hear its working for you! Thanks for giving it another try after the patch :).

Well, worst case scenario you could limit the support to only a couple of distros, Steam recommends Ubuntu and (obviously) SteamOS. You really don't have to support every Linux distro under the sun.
FWIW, the game ran perfectly on my SteamOS.

I'm curious, where you properly using the Steam-Runtime? https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-runtime

Seems like the best situation as a developer is having a group of people who *bought* your game willing to test it and give you bug reports to help you make your game better, rather than just give you harsh reviews. It's like you had people *paying you* to fix your game and now you are leaving them without support. I've not bought this game and I don't intend to.

I wouldn't worry too much about Leaving Lyndow, the game works for most Linux users and is actually more like a small preview for the big game: Eastshade. This is what worries me, that the developers are discouraged by this first contact with Linux, and the proper Eastshade game will be left without Linux support.
I can only reiterate for the devs, you don't need to support every distro, just pick one like Ubuntu (and I'm not an Ubuntu user) and make it work on it, just that and make it clear that Ubuntu is the only one tested and supported.
Hey thanks for giving Linux support a try and I'm sorry to hear it isn't viable for you right now. Thanks for being honest with your users, that means a lot.

Maybe one day you'll have the time to get more comfortable with it, or have the income to pay someone else to deal with it!

A shame. It's working great for me (now; earlier versions had massive graphics glitches).

This game works for me very well.
I've tested this game with Mesa 18.1.0-devel (git-def0030e64) driver with Intel Broadwell Iris Pro 6200 on Debian Stretch.
