for just wars in general yeah lvl 50, but youll want to at the very minimum get 56 for your awk weapon to partcipate in nodewars on t1 nodes

Technically 50. But you won't be killing a single person until at least 56 currently. Getting your awakening is pretty much a bare minimum but you can always try to support other classes and players from 50-56. Rushing there isn't good enough either you need gear. Depending on your class, I HIGHLY suggest enchanting Heve head gloves and boots. Wear whatever for chest until lv50. Then take the free dim magic chest you get from Black spirit. You can upgrade that for free to roaring magic chest which is equivalent to a pri ult chest armor (+16 and yellow) from there work on getting bheg gloves and then finally only replace that chest piece with Tree Spirit armor. Progression is very simple that way and heve is kind of the newest meta. Grunil is still considered good, but more work involved and you lose part of your set bonus soon as you get bheg gloves. Where with heve it doesn't matter much because two set has a lot of hp and all has 2 sockets. The free yellow chest also has Hp to compensate for not having the third piece of the set, with the added bonus of 2 sockets and an accuracy bonus. Also incase you are wondering. Rosar is currently the best starting weapon. The human damage from yuria isn't as good as the extra ap combined with the BUNCH more accuracy scale you get. Even without using the matching rosar offhand it still beats yuria.

actually you can be effective at defense in node wars at 50 by manning one of the siege defense weapons, such as the hwatcha of flame towers. if you get out of the tower though you will probably get one-shot.
