Flickering Screen

I bought & uploaded the programme perfectly fine, but when I go to play it the screen flickers like strobe lighting. I've uninstalled, rebooted & reinstalled my graphics card drivers but hasn't worked. I can run other games with more complex graphics fine.

Can anyone suggest what else I can try, or whether this problem is known and can be fixed?

I've resolved this by not choosing full screen option. :-) No flickering. But I'm curious why it happened in the first place. :-(
