Activate Arkham city Authentication code on steam and dont use discs to install?

I bought Arkham city (Normal)I have a Authentication code found inside the box can i use it as i dont wanna use discs.

I don't believe this will work, as the verification servers for this version no longer exist, to my knowledge. Everything about GFWL is down now. What you would need to do is register the code on steam, which will give you two versions of the game, this one (tied to this forum) and the GOTY version.

The GOTY version is the only one that will work.
