Another problem in Amnesia the dark descent

this time i cant figure out what to do as soon as you get off of the elevator and go into the cell blocks coming from the back hall and all i can find is 2 locked doors and a door that is not locked but just had someone killed in front of it and a narrow hole in the ground and all i have found is a sledgehammer but there is nothing i can do with it HHHHHHEEEEEELLLLLLPPPPP

well right when you come out the door after the elevator and you hear the guy dying you will go left and then right. when you come to the stairs where the monster is you gotta run and hide and when he is gone you go back up the stairs where the monster were.at the top of the stairs go straight and there should be a locked door, but the game tells you the lock is weak or something.so just ignore that door and take the door on the left. in there is a knocked over bed. behind it is a chipper. you wanna pick up the chipper. now when you have the hammer go to your inventory and hold the mouse on the hammer, and drag it over to the chipper. that will combine them to a hammer and chipper. when that is done go to the room with the narrow hole and use the hammer and chipper on it. the hole will become wide enough to fit through. now just jump down or enter and there you go :) hope this helped!
