Also, have you verified the game cache?
Try verifying the game cache again.
What are your specs, especially the graphics card? Such an issue could occur with integrated Intel cards. Try installing the latest graphics drivers.
The thing is these cards are not really fit for games and that could be the problem. However, you can always try to update its drivers and see if it solves the problem.
I could give you the links for the driver but first I want to make verify the graphics card you have. Please do the following:
1.Click Start.
2.On the Start menu, click Run.
3.In the Open box, type "dxdiag" (without the quotation marks), and then click OK.
4.The DirectX Diagnostic Tool opens. Click the Display tab.
5.On the Display tab, information about your graphics card is shown in the Device section. You can see the name of your card, as well as how much video memory it has
Also what operating system are you running? (Windows 7 or 8? 64 or 32 bit?)

This is the offcial web site for Amnesia: TDD, you can find it all that you need to solve your problem.
Thanks for the info, there seems to be a new driver for your laptop's graphics card available on the Lenovo support website.
Just select Display and Video graphics in the "Components" drop-down menu and Windows 7 32-bit in the "Operating System" menu and it will appear as the very first link (called: Intel (R) Graphics Driver dated 8/11/2014):

In case you couldn't find it, here is the direct download link:

Install that and see if it fixes the issue.
