You can circumvent the issue with the following for HCB/HCFx2 :
say, you want a HCBx2 facing right: right, down+left, left, then do your motion with the normal taps
This is because
1 st HCB: down+left after a properly released right always registers on my keyboard as "down, down+left", that means it has registered a "down"
2 nd HCB: going right to right+down will always register (at least with my timing) the right+down
All in all, you miss 1 input for the first, (bottom+right) and 1 input for the second (down) but they are not the same, so the HCBx2 registers.
for HCFx2 facing right,
left, down+right, right then tap naturaly from left to right as usual.
for F,HCF:
right, left, down+right, right (the game nicely fills in the blanks)
Of course some keyboards can act differently, because the keys are not all setup the same, some are in semi-serial by group wiring of the keys, others are individually mechanical, and there may be a difference in registragion handling by the keyboard controller. But on my main keyboard it works (a cheap russian keyboard), and it works as well on my not-so-cheap-but-still-oldtech japanese one.
Since i discovered that, my HCBx2 succeed every single time :)
