Am I missing something about the tutorial?

I keep failing the tutorial. I waste no time, I put down two nets each day and pass the time by fishing but I never even come close to the amount I need to not instantly game over and have to sit through all the text again. What am I missing?

Minor updates
- Added tutorial message after buying fishing device for the tutorial, to remind player to go talk to Simon
- Added ending music
Bug fixes
- Removed the delay between fishing device being ready and being able to pick it up
- Added keyboard support for the first screen before entering Alstport for the first time
- Music now plays in Main Menu

Marinatide 1.0 is now officially launched!
It’s been about ten months since we entered Steam Early Access, inviting you to participate in the development process of Marinatide. Thank you for playing and for sharing your comments with us! The game has made some great progress over this time, hopefully you like it.

As we have announced in our previous post earlier this week, the new version is coming with a massive update. We would love to hear what you have to say about it, so please share your thoughts on the forum.

Keyboard controls

Hi, i played the game for a bit and it seems to be fun so far (except the last part of the tutorial which was a bit harsh). However, i would like better keyboard controls please. For example, let us close windows (inventory and such) with the ESC key. Open the inventory with the i key. Let us use the 4 fishing tools with the number keys 1-4. You know, stuff like that just makes things a lot easier and more comfortable. What i also noticed, whenever you use wasd to control the boat, it centers the mousepoi...

Looks like a cool concept, but...

I tend not to like games that put a time limit on accomplishments. I only know what I've read in the reviews, but is there a chance that you'll ever add difficulty levels or different modes that allow the player to take their time and enjoy the game mechanics?...

Couple o' bugs

Bug the First: When I finally beat Season 1, Marina & Vino practiced ventriloquy. That is to say, their speech labels were on Mr Canis' spot, instead of their own spots. Bug the Second: When coming back to the game after quitting it, my nets were empty of anything but trash, (& the amount of trash -might- have been less than usual.) Thanks! ETA: This was while in Linux. Ubuntu 16 on an older computer....
