Totally optional DLC and it is super cheap.
I have to say that I am dissapointed that no decent patches have come out for ages, I like the idea of the blood dlc but it feels wrong because they seemed to had abandoned it for ages.
The blood DLC made it almost feel like total war with its blood dlc's for $2 or so :D.
thanks for the information
I can't even find the DLC.
I do think thought they should start patching this game due to the bugs, like in TLS on TAOK where the Chaos Sorcerer doesn't teleport on wave 20... I don't play the CS myself but it's so frustrating to have an ally downed during a cutscene before he/she can do anything.
here is the link to the DLC page

i an seriously confused who thought this was an great idea and that it is an Dlc ?
This is not even patch worthy material as i could just go to moddb searxh for warhammer dawn of war 2 find a mod or patch that does the exact same thing maby even better for free and yet Sega has the nerve to ask for money for a 2 minutes coding "Dlc" ?
and they think people will pay for this ?!
i for one wont pay for this bs as i dont agree that this is a good way of sega to show their effort to the fan base of this francise
Relase this as a free Dlc and they would have made alot more customers of they had an buy the game and get every dlc free this weekend or something..
The department in Sega that handles these things needs to consider that you catch more flies with honey then with Acid
If this DLC is as terrible as you say, then releasing it for free won't bring any new players. Your logic defeats itself.
We got a patch the other month. They released a free map for DoW 1 and opened up the pre-release wargear DLC for everyone in DoW II.
Dont get me wrong it is nice that they care for the game but do people really want to pay for this ?! i mean why not spend abit more time with this and add a few more goodies with this Dlc
i mean for gods sake Blizzard relased starcraft 2 basicly for free this year
the only thing you dont get free is the story mode.. nd they even relased a prequel to their newest expansion for free to everyone who owns a copy of starcraft 2
my point is that they could have easely have released it as a patch for free rather then selling this garbage for 2 dollars
blizzard released a full game and 2 hour story for free mind you
you dont see that kind of generosity now a days
maby more people needs to use the same method and be a little more generous to their player base
They could have released it for free. But it probably cost money to make.
As for generousity, we literally just got free stuff a month ago. I didn't see ten threads pop up to praise Relic for that.
There are still bugs and balance issues that need to be dealt with, and they spend effort on making superfluous crap or unlocking access to things some of us already owned.
I don't know about anyone else, but I'm not going to pat them on the head for making a cheap money grab and a manipulation play to ingratiate the naive.
We created this as a bit of fun and thought it would be great as a holiday content boost for those long standing players. We definitely aren't ignoring the bugs and things in which players have requested for the game and this content is definitely not supposed to disregard the importance of these.
We try to listen to all requests however it can be difficult to add based on our available resources. Again, thanks for your comments and feedback. We are definitely looking forward to restoring the faith on release of new content in the future.
Thanks!
Thankyou for being reasonable. I'm glad you guys are paying attention to this, most developers wouldn't care.
cosmeticDLC... I love!
I love Warhammer 40K and Dawn of War 2 and the series... I bought it... even though its silly for support!
Thank you for keeping in touch with us... and start making 3 :) (Even if it is part of the Total War series).
Do you plan to fix bugs such as number of race campaign achievements not working at all, last stand crashes when 2 tau players reach late waves, or chaos and tau and chaos clones tau.... this crash been forever. I would gladly buy gore packs if there was any hope of actual bugs fixes...
I used to be a real big proponent of Relic Entertainment. You want to restore faith? Listen to what was said across all your forums. Look at your pricing schemes. Look at the bugs. Ignore the trolls who just don't know how to play your games and stop listening to the sychophants who are only interested in getting precisely what they want by telling you what you want to hear. Most importantly, make a concentrated effort to bring your games up to the product quality that you used to have, but for a more modern and discerning audience.
I've been following your company for so long that I actually know the real emotional investiture behind Company of Heroes 1 that some members of your staff have, and why. I respected that. The quality and passion certain members of your development team used to have was exciting and heart-felt.
Now? No, you guys forgot where you came from and the new recruits just don't get it. You want to restore faith? Find that passion again, and knock it off with the cheap pandering.
