Using .bik files in a .vpk, .bik's dont work

I have a problem, when making my new mod, I had 5 .bik files to replace the menu backgrounds, as well as sound files for menu music, the problem is, the sound files work and the .bik's dont.

Which is very strange, i have the folder directories laid out perfectly and everything works when it's not in the .vpk, but as soon as i pack it and move it into the addons folder, it only uses the sound files and not the .bik's.

Anyone have a clue what's going on?
And yes i've checked that the folders are correctly placed.
