Requesting help!

[The Specialist]

I am currently replacing all CI sounds with Combinie Soldier sounds for a skin that I downloaded... However, I've wanted to test them out. So, I've tried putting them in the main sound directory, no luck.... I've tried building a VPK and putting it in addons... To no avail... I've even tried building a new sound cache for the custoom file in addons, but it says no file under that directory was found even though I created a custom Game search path and placed it into the correct directory. I'm under the impression I'm doing somthing wrong here, and any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
