Tittle say it, some tips to be a good L4D2 player.

Always stick with your teammates. There's no teamwork if you're all split up.

Remember to crouch, it will improve your aim accuracy and you'll be less likely to get hit by friendly fire from your teammates.

Knock back infected with right mouse button. You can also knockback special infected as they're pouncing at you. (hunter, jockey)

Never startle the witch unless you must. No point dealing with them if you don't have to. Also learn how to crown (headshot) witches: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xO7NB46hvsI This might take a bit of practice to do this successfully.

When you come across a tank, set it on fire with a molotov, then keep shooting whilst running backwards from it. Setting it on fire will help greatly with killing it faster.

If you're having trouble with learning the distinct sounds of the special infected, turn on full captions. This will make it significantly easier to tell when there's a special infected around.

Some pretty basic tips, but I hope they helped anyway.
