If you leave and dont complain then you wont get teased, and if you are useless you will get kicked, but you will get kicked in l4d for being useless anyway.
Some people mod the game because l4d is just too easy as standard. If both teams have players who arent braindamaged then they will both reach the saferoom purely because of the fact the survivors are semi indesctructable monsters in vanilla l4d.
You've got me there, about it being a little vanilla. However, if the teams are on equal playing fields, then there's always a sporting chance for one team to win over the other. Usually I do leave the mod-games before I even get a chance to spawn, but today, I just got so annoyed with them that it's I boiled over. Take one mod-game I almost started, for example: four tanks, each with different added abilities all after the other team, and yes tank are slow and sometimes easily killed, but with these added mod-abilities, they were fast, jumped higher and all of that, so where is it that that was a game that gave anyone a sporting chance to win? Or another one, the one that through me over the edge today LOL, I had ♥♥♥♥♥♥ a survivor-player down, incapacitated him, yet the minute I let go to move on to the next survivor, the downed player was up and fully healed.
Add in new, more interesting weapons. That I'm all for. Just don't make it so you're cheating just to win a few matched. LOL like anything, a little spice is nice, too much and it's just not tollerable any more.
For those types of players who may end up reading this and start snickering to themselves, or what have you, just grow up. Get over your selves. Accept that it's just a game for EVERYONE to enjoy, and not for you to lord over becuase you're a little better at it than others.
In l4d1 you could because you could fudge the system for a quadcap, but that isnt something you can do in l4d2 so the survivors (assuming they have even a basic grasp of the game) can make it to the saferoom even when wildly outclassed by the other team.
Not entirely true. If the team playing as infected have some concept of coopperation with others, they know to attack as a team. One survivor may make it out, but that's just one. Same as playing as survivor, to get all teammates to the safe room, you have to work together. Like I said above, I'm not in any way a great player, but there are some (playing as survivor) who just run off and leave their team, or those who who have teams that just leave players behind, all of which get other teammates killed in the game by doing so.
Like I also said, there are times where regular "vanilla" L4D2 isn't challenging enough for players, so certain mods are added that are okay. Like being able to choose your infected instead of it being random, or having faster reloading of abilities and weapons, even knewer weapon types. All of which is okay. BUT, when the mods give you instant access to adrenalin shot, pain pills, heath packs or even instant health and revivng after being brought down, now that's just cheating. Left 4 Dead 1&2 are coop survival horror games. You get random supplies here and there to make do. Being able to type in a code to get what you want, WHEN you want it, is taking the fun out of the game.
LOL I know what you mean. In some of those videos you even hear the players talking so much trash against their oposing teams that's it's just sad and funny at the same time. Or the players for things like MMORPGs, where they have spent so many hours building up characters, getting epic gear, and so on and so forth, that anyone they see who has low level gear they call a nood, make fun of and all around alienate, where as they themselves where in the position once. LMAO it's not the "Noob's" fault that they actually have a life and can't spend 30-40+ hours a week playing a game to boost past the average players.
Well, in a way you're kind of right. But even if the company didn't want players to add or make mods for it, I'm sure some clever, deviant, hacker-type players would find a way to mod a game some way, some how. But get a game that people can't mod? If you mean find a game on the server, then yeah, and I always try to. But if you meant to buy a game, then why should people miss out on the actual fun of a game all together because people want to tweek a game so that they never lose?
