l4d3 and the inveitable microtransactions

I just hope for unlockable, (read, for winning and doing good) clothing. If they do hats like tf2 it would make it too over the top, but if you could unlock ways to customize characters, and maybe include 4-8 voicepacks to choose for them too, I would probably pee myself in happiness .

I hope in no way, shape or form. Any sort of leveling system or weapon customization (ammo, optics, etc.) would too radically change the current playing field, hopefully they'll rule it out. That leaves character customization for microtransactions, and if they return to an atmospheric game like I'm hoping they will, somebody is guaranteed to ruin that atmosphere with their customization.
I can see no way of fitting microtransactions into the Left 4 Dead series as it stands, and I hope Valve sees the same. The current system of free and client-side only modifications is good enough as it stands, any way.

I don't mind, so long as it's like CSGO's and Dota 2's, where you don't need to buy it. They just make you look good.

The give money to look good thingy, that's usual. You can still don't give a damn and mod the game yourself. It's always better that way anyway. If you look at it, L4D2 has pretty much all it takes to not require another installment.
