Left 4 Dead 2
why is the left 4 dead community jerks?
Every time i get into a versus server in Left 4 dead 2 there's always a group of people acting like jerks to new players. I'm not trying to say you have to teach us but at least don't be complete douches. Also in a versus server why do you get kicked for making the tiniest mistake? Then all the veterans of left 4 dead rage so hard when it comes to new players. Its a game come on now. Then they go ahead put all the pros on a team then all the beginners on another then call us "noobs". Well what do you expect? You just put all the beginners on a team without evening the teams out. They say to stay on campaign and leave versus, but how else are we to learn pvp skills in left 4 dead? We just wanna have fun with a new type of game were trying out. I personally enjoy fps then i wanted a change with a more cooperative game. Left 4 dead when it comes to the community is a mistake.

i agree
when i play i have speakers on just for that they kick me from the session
I've never had that problem, but apparently a lot of others do. If you want, you can add me and we can play together. I'm new, too and I like to believe I'm pretty friendly. Same goes for anyone else having this problem.
I also hate when they judge by how many hours you have played..
I've met some great folks in campaign. Less in versus. Everyone takes it so seriously. I play it straight, but I don't, for instance, shout at people for not meeting my expectations :p
The problem isn't the people, it's the system, or lack-there-of a matchmaking system. When you're playing a competitive gamemode the aim is to win, new players tend to not be very good/borderline terrible (even if they're great fps players in general), so players tend to resort to kicking to perform the role that matchmaking should be doing in the first place.
Iv'e been playing L4D for years, im happy to play with anyone lol old or new. feel free to join me in a game anytime. :)
I agree with DaxNine. I prefer to play singleplayer versus which is just as fun, not compatible with some people's computers and whatnot, but still very fun. I don't mind playing with some newer players. I'm no 'pro' myself.
The 75% of the community thinks they can own anyone , even newbies in Versus mode , they hate losing , i can say. I m not pro / noob , and i m always like to teach the newbies how to play this game.
I have fallen to this before thankfuly am not such a jerk now although make me a favor don't come into my game when am on expert with couple mates just to die in seconds, the thing about versus is that before you go in you should play all campaigns on campain mode or just single player your call so you at least know the map and when in game with infected the biggiest 'secret' to do well is just work together with your team cordinate attack at spesific places and hopefuly the experience you got from campaign mode will help you in survivors

You have 50 hours. Some people will kick you from the lobby just for that, never mind waiting for you to make a mistake.

Do not play public versus games, it is an absolute waste of time. Play Campaign/Realism, get good, then look into LTD/L2L to start playing confogl matches, which is Versus (except for people who are interested in competitive balanced matches -- not the cesspool that are public matches).
even so nothing gets done
