Why do people take VS mode so seriously?

Some girl cussed me out cause I didn't spit on the gas can in the level where they fill the generator up to lower the bridge.

And this was after she invited me to the game...

She started talking about how I should just come out so they can kill me, lol...

I mean what is it with VS mode that attracts people like this?

and + VS is about teamwork and knowing how to think things out...idk

I have found if you don't do things their way they freak out big time, I don't play versus much but when I have some people take it far to seriously.For me it's a bit of fun whether I win or lose don't care either way, it's just a game. Never worry there is far more important things to get pissed off about.

Versus Mode is a competitive Mode,but different gamers has a different gameplay style.It depends of personalities.Absolute majority of Steam community are kids & teens;what did you waited for?

No, that doesn't even make sense. Of course I'm "serious" about how people act, because it's the truth. It's a bit different than how "serious" people are taking the VS mode.

I've never seen this type of attitude outside of some sort of private competition match or a professional league or something.

I really only enjoy playing as infected though :( that's why this is such a big deal.

Exactly! If you want to compete, make a private match, not on a random public server.

That's why I play campaign. Cause it's supposed to be FUN. Not with people complaining the whole game.

People take it seriously because there are so many hackers playing versus mode. You don't see the cheaters playing campaign mode because the cheats doesn't give them any gratification. Today alone I've managed to catch at least 5 people aimboting me and even their own teammates agreed. All you can do is report the hackers to steam and hopefully their accounts get banned. If you want a list of over 100 known aimbot users let me know.....i keep track of their accounts. They usually tend to play as a team together so that they can try to kick anyone who tries to rat them out. Sights like {LENKE FJERNET}artificialaiming.net and a thousand others on the internet with a simple google search proves how many people use hacks...and most of them are paid hacks......so sad that all FPS games are getting beyong playing these days.
