L4D2 Won't Download! Help please!

Well, this started to happen yesterday. I tried opening L4D2 but it said it was currently unavailable, so I verified the game files. It said needed to redownload some files, but when it got to 95%, the update was suspended. I couldn't resume it, so I reinstalled the game. I opened it up, realized I wanted some addons, so I closed out and got some. I tried to open the game up again, and it said this game is currently unavailable AGAIN. So I reinstalled it AGAIN, to have the update suspended AGAIN at 99%. Can someone please help me?

wait, i shut down my laptop overnight, unplugged it like i always do, and when i turned on my computer and opened steam, it finished downloading and i could play it!
