Can't play on a "Local Server"?

Is there any reason I can't play on a local server now, any time I try and play custom map with my friends the game never seems to load for them, this has happened to me aswell. What happens is the map gets about half way loaded then it reverts back to 0%. I can still play on a local server if its just me, is there any way to fix this?

Do you all have the same versions of the custom campaign? Can you all play on one of the vanilla campaigns?

I experience it before until I went into option i think multiplayer and change allow custom content from all to none. Apparently, the client is downloading models etc from whoever is host. If you do that, you can get into the game. Hope that solve it.

T H A N K Y OU! i spent a week trying to find why i wasnt able to play with my friend custom campaigns localy, and even spent another week trying to create a dedicated server... nearly 5 years since your comment and yet, that is the only solution to that annoying "revert back to 0%" problem.

You sir or madam are a life saver. My buddies and I got stuck not being able to play with each other. Thank you plenty cuz this worked!
