Can't start l4d2!!

It's been 3 weeks since i can't even start the game. When i start it the normal message appears (preparing to launch), then it disappears, the screen goes black and the it returns to the desktop! I' tried everything! I verified the files, reinstalled the game and steam too, i don't have the workshop, i've never used it... What can i do to fix this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ problem!!! (plz use a simple language cuz i'm italian)

I used this game fine before on the same pc with vista, and it worked in a very good way, but i decided to change my OS with win 7 and the game decided not to work anymore

i had a similar problem with tf2, i waited a few months for Valve to release an update and fix it, they fixed it and never had a problem again. just wait
