The law has been passed so we can now have graphic content in games, patch the game for australians so we can have the full uncencored version of the game like everyone else

You bought a censored game in full knowledge that it was censored. Valve are not your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to do as you demand, for free, when you demand it and have no obligation to give you anything more than you paid for.

If Valves chooses to patch the game, I'm sure they will do it when they have time instead of dropping everything just because your laws have changed.

If you would like someone to blame, I would suggest the nationals of a country that elected a government that would ban graphic content to begin with.

Its not that simple. You bought a game with a certain rating level. Im sure legally they cant just release a patch to change that. Also from what I understand with the more controversial games they are still reluctant to rerate them not to mention valve would have to pay to have the game rated again. Austrailia is a small gaming market to begin with and this is a dieing game that only sells when they practically give it away.

I wouldnt hold your breath for anything happening. Wait for a sale and have someone from another region gift you the game or google some of the patches that already exist.

It really isnt in comparison to the other large gaming markets which is why you pay more for games in general.

In relative terms, Australia is a large gaming nation. My figures are a little old but revenue in AU is around 1/8th that of the USA while AU has far less than 1/8th of the US population.

The reason for it not being patched as soon as possible is that the game was already rated MA15+ and to have the gore put in the game would have to be rated again at cost to Valve for little additional revenue.

That being said, I think you'd get some results in creating a petition for others to sign appealing to Valve's sense of community support. They, more than other developers/publishers actually care what people think. Well...more of the time anyway.

They wont give you uncensored patch because you got the censored rate, it would be illegal to uncensor the 15+ version.

You can just use Left 4 Uncut. Download it by doing simple search on google and open it before you open l4d2 and bam you make the censored uncensored.

Yes we can now get R rated games, but I remember the law states that games have to wait 2 years from when the law was passed to be re-classified. I'm pretty sure that's what it said, you should google it and find some articles about it.

Doesn't bother me that much. But our ratings board members are retarded, Dead Island got through. Gears of War with the chainsaw gore action got through as well. As Psych said, you can mod the gore back in.
