ANY MODS SKINS MAPS UNSUPPORTED BY VALVE SHOULDNT BE DOWNLOADED.
Some of those workshop were good, but put it wuth the craps created by other. You create something good, and tested right, go to valve, negociate, get some money and make it official. The rest is not worth to mention it.
Next time you reply, be more specific. Dont throw words with no legally base... boy. Contract could be made if you are really good.
And you are a massive hypocrite, by the way. You try to deter me from insulting you by INSULTING ME back. Nice one.
And sure, report and ban me. It will get us both nowhere. (Well maybe you. You must love the feeling of winning an internet argument.)
Your insults are childish as is your demeanor. Good day, Sniper Intelligence.
For me topic is closed. Didnt expect from an American do be such a... But you know... only 2.7 % are really Americans. The rest has other influences.
Sniper Intelligence out.
Theres nothing to report... yet.
If the game freezes but doesn't crash, leave it sit there for a few minutes. I had a problem after downloading large campaigns where it froze ingame, but I think it just needed time to physically copy the .vpk from the cache folder into the actual workshop folder for L4D2 to use. Of course this leaves everyone with two copies of every file along with terrible lag when launching after subscribing to multiple campaigns at once. So if your game freezes but doesn't crash, just walk away and watch TV for as long as it takes the Workshop to sort itself out and unlag your computer.
If you crash when opening the addons menu itself, physically open "\Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\addons\" and remove recent .vpks there and in the "\addon\workshop\" folder as well. I had a corrupted .vpk file installed in my normal addons folder, and I'm guessing when L4D2 tried to compare it's contents against other installed .vpks for conflicts (a new feature that came with Workshop support), it couldn't open it and crashed the engine. Instead of, you know, the engine recognizing this error and opening a dialogue box explaining a file is corrupt.
If you crash when attempting to launch the game, a real crash to desktop and not a freeze from Workshop lag, you can always delete your entire /addons/ folder and verify the remaining cache before attempting a complete reinstall. It can save you the 10+ gigs of bandwidth and usually its something in the /addons/ or /cfg/ folder causing the problem anyway.
The Workshop is great, but there are still a lot of bugs to work out with L4D2 support.
If you don't have that many, delete the latest addons you added and delete them one by one seeing if it fixes your problem.
Let me know!
