Well im sorry but theres nothing you can do about it, and if you hate Jockeys just let the others deal with it. Just like how i let the others deal with Chargers

Nah man, Jockeys are great. The are not only funny but also useful. They can drag other people out of the map and do ♥♥♥♥ like that.

Probably not the best policy to have in a game like this.
Anyway there are sound mods although they will probably break immersion far more.

They break immersion?
The Jockey?
This zombie game in which the survivors can take dozens of zombies pounding on them, being smashed by huge zombies and pills & med-kits instantly heal them and every survivor has an outline around them when they're behind walls.
And the Jockey breaks immersion?
Well I can't argue with you about immersion, that's subjective, but the Jockey is a great addition to the special infected, it's perfectly balanced along with the other special infected. It's small and does small amounts of damage but can move the target around, whereas the hunter and charger do tons of damage but can't move (and smoker is somewhere inbetween). Valve did a great job with this game & the special infected.

Immersion isn't about realism or sense, its about whether you feel a part of the world or not, and for a game focusing on a depressive atmosphere, hunchback midgets which hump you while giggling like a school girl don't really help.

Just replace your Jockey with this one then http://www.l4dmaps.com/details.php?file=15240
Never even remotely put down the jockey. They can end worlds with their madness.

And besides, just think of banjo music or some s**t when playing swamp fever and everything will work out fine =).

Jockeys are really needed in this game, there is no other way to drag people around freely.

I've been playing this game for a long time, but I must say, I never get annoyed at them! Because in all honesty, when I see a team-mate get attacked by one (or myself) I giggle because of all the chaos going on around me or the team-mate...I find them hilarious.

Left 4 Dead 2's tone is a lot of things, but depressive is certainly not the main-tone of it. In contrast to L4D1, just think about how many of the maps are in bright-day, feature colorful locations and just how often the survivors quip, make one-liners and joke about stuff. The markings on the walls of safe-rooms aren't even depressing half the time. The Jockey is no more "undepressive" than the left arm of the charger, the amazing obesity of the boomer, the clowns in Dark Carnival that honk when you hit them, the gnome in Dark Carnival or the man in Dead Center that wants cola.

They laugh at you, because they know they cannot be stopped.

Seriously, I fear the jockey more than I fear a damned tank.

L4d2 now has all l4d1 maps, with all l4d2 special infected, and L4D 1 has no servers left, so because of jockeys and how unseriously Valve took the sequel, I can no longer relieve those dark moments, If i wanted sillyness, I'd play Team Fortress 2, L4d is a series built for a depressing feel, just listen to the l4d1 menu theme, it feels bad that they just became sellouts by making a zombie which humps you. Not to mention they aren't suprising or cool, you just sigh when you get grabbed by one.

We were having a somewhat fun debate here until you just posted that reply, dear god, could you be more wrong?
1st things first: You call Valve sellouts.
Really?
Now I'm not one of those Valve fanboys that will not admit any flaws regarding the company, but calling Valve sellouts is probably the most ridiculous thing you could call them in this argument. Specifically, you're calling them sellouts for including a type of special infected that isn't even affiliated with any brand whatsoever, how is that selling out? Then you, in the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ post, say that all L4D1 maps are now available in L4D2 and just after that, you call Valve sellouts. Do you even realize how hypocritical and idiotic that is to say? This is a company that actually ported over an older iteration of a game, into a new one, completely with the updates of the 2nd game, and you actually have the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nerve to call them sellouts? That's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ kind if you ask anyone else, they're not earning money on this.

And you can't appreciate the game because of 1 special infected, just one type, and your issue with it is... What? It's annoying? What's annoying about it? The Jockey perfectly compliments the other special infected as I said, it's small, does small amounts of damage, but can move the survivors around, whereas hunter & charger are immobile but do tons of damage, and smoker can somewhat-move survivors (and stay hidden) and does medium damage. So what's you're gripe with The Jockey? That it laughs? That is an extremely ridiculous gripe to have, with 1 type of zombie in a game that's essentially 2 games.

If you have such issues with The Jockey, go play L4D1, but you'll find, as you said, that the servers are empty. Probably because the majority of the population doesn't give a ♥♥♥♥, that The Jockey laughs a bit when it rides a survivor.

Your reasons are wrong & pathetic and your way of arguing for them are also wrong. Calling Valve sellouts for not appealing to you is absolutely wrong and egocentric.

Addendum: I never once drop the f-bomb here, all censored words are either bastardizations of damnation or ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
Double-addendum: You can't even say basta-rdiza-tion, gawddamn.
