Great question. TF2 plays flawless on the highest settings at 1080 and that's cool but not the game I was looking forward to. What is the official EVTA for L4D2?

Still waiting on L4D and L4D2 to come out on Linux like Steam said they would once they open Steam for Linux to everyone

Valve said that L4D2 is faster on Linux than on Windows ... but on nVidia. I expecting at least 5 times less FPS, because I have AMD graphics card. AMD, fu* you!

I'm with everyone else. I'd love to know when L4D2 for Linux is coming out. It's one of the games I've been waiting for since Valve first said they'd be doing Steam for Linux.

On Linux _only_ with nvidia for 3d.

I know. But I bought my laptop half year ago and I like it. I don't want to sell it only because AMD isn't able to support their own products.
Anyway, my next hardware will be Intel CPU and nVidia GPU, it's still better combination, than AMD+AMD for Linux.

I even bought the game for my wife too when Valve said it was going to come out to Linux

The valve is working on it. The port is not complete.

I think it'll release with the non-beta version of the Steam Linux Client.
Looking at the l4d2 results from august last year, and the current state of TF2, I'd be surprised, if l4d2 wasn't already ready for release, once Source Engine is polished, and the Steam client is perfect. My guess is, they're tweaking everything for a few other distros, before release.

Still waiting... Would love it on Linux. Also, wondering how mutli-core rendering is on Linux, since my 690 doesn't come up with both cores on the Unigine Benchmark.
