Crash to Desktop after installing most mods.

My game keps crashing to desktop when installing mods. I have Windows 7 running on a Macbook Pro 2.6Ghz Core 2 Duo, 4Gb RAM. L4D2 runs terribly in OSX. I have two machines the same spec, both having the same issue with the same mods.

Although I have a friend with a new MACBOOK and they run fine.

Any advice? I've tried validating files many times, re-installing Direct X and re-installing the game, and there is no CSC folder.

I keep having the same issue. When i was in game for a lil bit I would crash right back to my desktop. No error messages or anything. Quite frustrating to say the least. I un-installed the game and re-installed. Hasn't happened since. Fingers crossed it stays that way.

Is your mod a concert audio change by any chances? Try remove it. If you really wish to use it, take it out of the workshop folder and put it in addons. Still crashing? Stuff is conflicting.

Noting: Most mods, you probably have 2 much.

I only have a couple of mods! Its its odd how the sam mods crash the exact same setup on a different machine. with different mods...

Make sure they're in the addon list before loading a game.

the game loads, begins adding the addons, but crashes before it finishes loading the main menu...

Happens with me too, mods just not compatible or there's something wrong with it. Was with Pendulum concert mod for me, crashing soon as it appears.

i can't run the Back to School campaign, and thats just one of them.

If that's from workshop, then delete it from your folders and try to download it from l4dmaps.com. More stable there.

That problem has been happenin alot My specs are compatible. I ha e Played Moorowind, oblivion on the Xbox The ony gruop in all of this seems to under that and me. Than aftr so many negative, hate words out go jis momth. I declaw the sister

I can be in the middle of a game and then it suddently either freezes or outright crashes, and these crashes were never as prevalent as they are now. My mods only slightly alter maps, models and music to keep the game fresh, but nothing game breaking.
