Campaign finales bugged?

We played two campaign games with my friends, and we discovered that the rescue vehicle immediately arrives after starting the finale event. The two campaigns we played were No Mercy and Blood Harvest, and the difficulty was advanced if that changes something. We have not tried other campaigns yet. Anybody else had this problem before?
