Why does the AI go full ♥♥♥♥♥♥ sometimes?

I'm trying to complete Cold Stream by myself on Chainsaw Masscre, and I'll get leveled by a charger and it will be the only enemy around and the AI will DO NOTHING. They will just stand there and not even bother to help me. Even walk off at one point.

Or I'll try and kill the tank and it will incapacitate me, and none of the AI teamates come to help me while i'm being beat to death by Common infected.

Or i'll be low on health and get incapacitated, and be beat to death by common's because the AI does nothing.

I've had this happen 4 times in a row now >X=(

Problem is that they cant think, they can only aim. For example as you play versus, youre the charger and lets say you try to hit AI Survivor, They wont ever see you or hear you because they cant think, but as soon as you Hit them with one charger punch, Youre basically f ucked up. You should try it by yourself if you dont believe this.
