Instantly dissapear after death

When i kill zombies they instantly dissapear, I had a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ computer before. And the bodies stayed on the ground for a few min. And i could see when i chop their head off etc etc . Why is this?

I remember long time ago, You were able to choose in Video options .. like " High " - Corpse on ground. But i cant see that setting anymore .

The 'Gore' option is still available if you click the 'Multiplayer' tab. Does this change anything?

Well, the instant disappearance of killed infected is usually only present in the German and Australian version of the game. Another possibility that comes to mind is that the command to disable 'Gore' is in an autoexecuted file that is set to read-only.

Apart from that I'm out of ideas - I have the German version and can't test anything myself.

Might be your low violence setting in launch options.

Solution

Exit Steam.

Click Start> Run (or Windows key + R).

Then type "regedit" and press enter

Find us at the following location:

\ HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ SOFTWARE \ VALVE

Rename the "Valve" folder to "Valve_old".

Launch Steam and test again.
